Crisis creeps in....

Business Recorder [Pakistan's First Financial Daily]: "Government wooing banks to bail out KSE from settlement crisis KARACHI (March 24, 2005): The Federal Government is said to be quietly nudging the big banks to rescue the Karachi Stock Exchange from the settlement crisis it is facing to the tune of Rs 60 billion, it is reliably learnt. Hectic behind the scenes activity was seen on Wednesday, a national holiday, Federal Ministry of Finance bosses, high officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission, and leading brokers tried to persuade bankers to lend a helping hand for a smooth settlement of March Future Contracts." As additional info, the exchange only holds about Rs. 18 billion in exposure from its members....so teh gap they need to fill is almost Rs. 42 billion. We have come a LONG WAY!! Hmm......this was one reason for the collapse..... If you are interested is the reason behind this one.......you should open your eyes further.... Imagine....The best performing bourse in the world....is facing this because of some irresponsibe people!! So far..ive heard abou 8 confirmed heart attachs.....where were the concers and worries when the market was on its way up?? My point is...if it can go up by 2000, it can go down by 2000 too... no one questioned the gains people made then, so why worry about the losses now? Easy come..easy go...that's the way the world goes!

today.....march 21, 2005

Sometimes we wake up, try to think what to do today...blank... Why are some days so blank n indecisive? I had an interview to take today....but the candidate coulndt show up due to a personal reason, the explanation was taken, accepted & im looking forward to doing this tomorrow.....therer are very few people you look forward to working with...why? simply because there are very few resumes u actually find interesting..... I don’t say im a specialist, but yes...i agree, I am finicky! I am choosy!! down to the last drop of my blood, im not an easy person to please......(well, some ppl think otherwise...but I don’t know what causes them to....) AND NOW I PROUDLY PRESENT TO YOU THE STUPIDEST CRICKET TEAM IN THE WORLD!!!!! WE CANT DO ANYTGING RIGHT!!!

CNN.com - Pakistan test fires long-range missile - Mar 19, 2005: "ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) -- Pakistan on Saturday successfully test-fired its longest-range missile, a military spokesman said, capable of carrying nuclear warheads and hitting many targets deep inside neighboring India. The test of the Shaheen II missile, which has a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles), was not, however, expected to hurt peace efforts between the nuclear rivals. Both countries routinely conduct missile tests and inform each other in advance. " Here we go again.......as if we didnt have enough weapons.....!!

Sunrise....

The dawn of a new sunrise.....the beginning of a new day..... as the rays of the sun, filter through the clouds, creating a gentle shower of light....and a mellow warm feeling on my skin..... i wake up...smell the cool, fresh air and am hit by this sudden burst of dampness...... WHY THE HELL DOES KARACHI HAVE TO BE MOIST???? WHY THE HELL DOESNT IT RAIN HERE!!! damn !! me sad!!! its raining all over the place!! but not here!!
